The feature event was a very good race thru out the field. The 99 of Blake Brown brought the field to the green and led the first part of the race with 15 Trey Craig right on his bumper. Craig worked Brown until he was able to get under him coming off turn 4 only to have Brown get back by to retake the lead. The 2 Lorance, 07 Johnson, 18 Stiffler, 46 Williams had one heck of a race for the top 3 positions. The 56 Harrison spun in turn 2 but kept moving slowly so the flagman decided not to bring out the caution with the rain bearing down on us. The leader 99 Brown assumed a caution and lifted. The track was still green and he fell to 5th place along with the 2 Lorance. 99 Brown realized his mistake and was able to rebound for a very respectable 3rd place finish. The 07 Johnson was turned coming off turn 4 while running 4th and did a complete 360 and hardly slowed down, so once again they did not throw the caution but everyone was ready for it this time. The 15 Craig assumed the lead when the 99 lifted and went on to lead several laps with the 18 Stiffler and 46 Williams locked right on him. The 15 got a little high getting in 3 and was loose off 4 giving the 18 and 46 a run on the bottom. The 18 Stiffler and 46 Williams raced hard the final laps to decide the winner. The 18 Stiffler was able to hold off a hard charging 46 Cole Williams for the win with 99 Brown, 15 Craig, and 2 Lorance rounding out the top 5

The IKO Series rolled into Anderson Indiana for the first actual event there this season. We want to give a shout out to our friends from the CSR who made the drive to race with us, Erica Ensor and Tyler Brown. It is a pleasure to know them and both are good little racers! A new track record (16.163) was set by 15-Trey Craig shattering the old mark (16.23) that stood for years. The first heat saw a problem on the start with the 83 of McClay turning the 81 Blair and collecting the 56 Harrison going into turn 1. The restart saw 88-Jared Rupert go on to win with the 20-Tyler Brown and 14-Corey Deuser rounding out the top three. The second heat saw 16-Erica Ensor on the pole and 2-Lorance race hard for the lead. 2-Lorance gets the advantage leaving 16-Ensor to battle 18- Stiffler for most of the race for 2nd. After a hard fought battle the 18-Stiffler and the 07-Johnson get by 16-Ensor with 15-Craig rounding out the top 5 The feature event was a very good race thru out the field. The 07-Johnson at the start of the race had the pace car slowing down and holding him up coming to the green. I am not sure what the pace car was trying to accomplish but he may have cost the 07-Jonhson the race. The 18-Stiffler was able to get to the front from the outside pole going into turn one with 07Johnson falling to second followed by the new track record holder 15 Craig in third, 2 Lorance and 16 Ensor rounding out the top 5. The 16 Ensor and 56 Harrison had one of the best battles of the race for the 5th position with 16 Ensor holding off the hard charging 56 Harrison. The 7th place was contested just as hard between the 20 Tyler Brown, 14 Corey Deuser and 83 Jacob McClay with 20 Brown taking the 7th spot followed by 14 Deuser, 83 McClay, 88 Rupert and 81 Blair.
